Continuous Professional Development at NWCH

We have been running a mix of events for practitioners, and this has proved popular this academic year – we have issued 51 CPD certificates since September across 7 events.

Practitioners and recent graduates are invited to join lectures led by visiting lecturers and HUBS provided by NWCH lecturers on various topics.

A full day with Jo Ketteman was organised in October with a morning session on Pregnancy, birth and post-partum, and an afternoon session on Matridonal remedies. Geoff Johnson covered Imponderables in February over Saturday afternoon, while a morning session on Actinides was held on Sunday.

Hubs this year covered an open discussion on using LMs in practice by Gabriel Neiva, a series of cases on Fish Remedies (myself), Sarcodes and Nosodes in practice with Shona Shires, an exploration of Mosses and Fern remedies with Lyssa Clayton, the pros and cons of protocols in practice (myself). The tone is candid – we share all outcomes, good or poor. We invite input and the sharing of experience.

During the May week-end the HUB on Fish Remedies covered recent cases from my practice where I prescribed  Amphiprion percula, Carassius Auratus, Clupea Harengus, Sebastes Norvegicus, Hippocampus Kuda, Poecilia reticulata, Pleuronectes Platessa and Serum Anguillae. We explored how to use Louis Klein latest book ‘Homeopathy and Dementia’ as a Materia Medica of Fish remedies for both chronic and acute cases.

Gabriel’s session on LMs in practice was run as an open discussion and happily overran as much knowledge was shared with great enthusiasm by all present.

The format of our CPD can be formal or informal, and all are welcome to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of the breaks and be part of the NWCH community. CPD sessions are always mentioned in our newsletter and advertised via FaceBook and Instagram.

New topics for the 2026/27 Hubs will be advertised over the summer and If you are a local practitioner who wants to be kept informed of future events do follow us on Social Media or ask to be added to our Newsletter distribution (email us at info@nwch.co.uk). Feel free to pop in during one of our college week-ends at Belmont House (Belmont Street, Stockport SK4 1TG), you will be warmly welcome.

Our next college dates are the 13th and 14th of June and autumn/winter 2026 dates are:

19/20th September, 17/18th October, 14/15th November, 5th/6th December

Come and join us!

Anne Gabarre RSHom, Chair of NWCH
