Recognition and Accreditation

Society of Homeopaths Teaching Innovation Award 2019

Society of Homeopaths Teaching Development Award 2017

This award recognised the College’s innovative clinical assessment framework, which is benchmarked against Higher Education competence levels. In the words of one Year 3 student: “I have found the clarity regarding each level really helpful and motivating when receiving feedback on my cases. It is easy to see how the level has been met based on my work and what I need to develop and specifically and crucially how I might do that. It feels objective, consistent and fair.”

Society of Homeopaths Teaching Innovation Award 2016

This award recognises participative learning, specifically here the College Year 1’s debate comparing homeopathy and the placebo effect. As one student put it: “If you’re interested in homeopathy, you have listened to everyone and their dog’s opinion on the matter already! But this was different. I had to research ideas and facts on how to make my argument regarding Homeopathy real. And I think I succeeded. Most enjoyable piece of homework yet!”

In 2016, George Garlick, the then principal was awarded the Society’s highest honour, a Fellowship, in recognition of the College’s work particularly in governance and professional development

Accreditation

We don’t just want you to feel nurtured and supported. We want you to grow as confident, competent professionals. As professionals, we expect to be registered with a professional body – externally accredited, accountable and evaluated,

Accordingly, the College is fully accredited, and subject to regular review by, the Institute of Homeopathy Accreditation (IHA), a body which has formally taken over the system of UK accreditation of homeopathic colleges from the ‘Society of Homeopaths’ and ‘Homeopathy Training’ schemes. We are the only College enjoying full recognition from the Society north of Stroud and Carmarthen, which is why we have a strong community ethos and aim to build a clear regional identity.

Our Commitment

Our commitment has a major benefit for students. In fulfilling the College’s graduation requirements you have already fully met the requirements of the Institute of Homeopathy Accreditation (IHA) to be a newly registered homoeopath, and can start practising as a professional as soon as your insurance is in place.

Recognised Qualification

Our professional qualification is also recognised by the Alliance of Registered Homeopaths (ARH) and the Homeopathic Medical Association (MHA). Together with the Society, these are the four largest professional registers in homoeopathy. Find out more about:
