Access to a range of student support services

At the North West College of Homœopathy we take student support very seriously. We prefer to sort any problems out before they become major issues and so we have developed different support structures.

Practical issues such as clinic information and bookings, assessment procedures, payments etc. can be dealt with through the college office.

Student Representatives

An elected representative from each year group acts as a means of liaison between directors and the year group in order to ensure a two-way flow of information about general college matters. These are usually held once every two months. more...

Pastoral Tutor

Pastoral support is available for all students with the aim of encouraging students in their studies by providing them with grounding and perspective as well as simply someone with whom to speak. Ffranses Wharton-Faraut is usually available in person for one day of every weekend to speak to confidentially face to face. She may also be contacted by email and telephone in-between college weekends. Regional Support Groups

All students are encouraged to attend a meeting close to their home between college weekends. These are informal groups of peers facilitated by a tutor. They vary in structure and emphasis and are often student-led. Students choose which group they join. more...

Student Support Team

The brief of the support team is to help with non-academic issues which might interfere with a student's training. These may be personal, financial, etc.

A member of the support team can also help with issues arising from the personal development content of the course, often directing students to further sources of help. more...
