Mike Day on Counselling & Homoeopathy 9th May 2010

Most of us would recognise a need for some basic counselling skills in taking the homeopathic case. Things such as listening non-judgementally, confidentiality and the creation of a safe-space are givens - but where do we draw a line between homeopathy and counselling?

This CPD session aims to explore how counselling can work together with homeopathy. It will explore what counselling is, how it works, the different types of counselling, when it can help, when to refer and how to access it. All of this will be discussed within a framework of the similarities and differences between homeopathy and counselling.

Mike qualified as a homeopath in 2009 at NWCH. He has worked as a counsellor in GP surgeries in the NHS, as well as in private practice, for over ten years. Whilst studying homeopathy Mike had a particular interest in how homeopathy and counselling might be integrated or used alongside each other.
