Meet the team

We are able to draw on the services of well-trained and experienced homeopaths and conventionally-trained physicians from the North West and elsewhere. A brief C.V. of our main teachers follows:

PortraitMoira Cahill BSc PGCE MNWCH RSHom

Moira took a degree in Zoology before going into teaching as a lecturer in 'A' level Human Biology at a F.E. college. She trained as a homeopath at the North West College, qualifying in 1993. Moira now practises in Manchester and on the Sure Start project in Bolton. She teaches Repertory work to year two at the college as well as being a tutor and clinician. Moira also runs evening classes in anatomy and physiology for the benefit of students on the course.

Anthony has practised Homeopathy full time since 1983 and is an experienced teacher. He practises in London and Dorset. Anthony previously was a nationally-known Yoga teacher having studied Yoga and esoteric philosophy in India from 1970-72. He attended the classes of Dr. Thomas Maughan in Dulwich from 1973. He completed the course at The College of Homeopathy in London in 1983. Anthony's interest in Western and Eastern esoteric philosophy gives him a keen insight into the deeper essences of remedies. The differential diagnosis of remedies in major rubrics is one of his special gifts.

David is one of our more experienced and skilful practitioners with an international reputation. He has busy practices in London and Manchester and lectures on classical homeopathy extensively at Colleges at home and abroad and at his own seminars. Formerly an acupuncturist, David has been in practice as a Homeopath since 1971 and is especially interested in the relationship between mind and body. David's other special interests are in symbolism and alchemy.

After completing a degree in Psychology, Jill went on to study at the North West College of Homeopathy, being one of the first graduates in 1988. Over the past 5 years she has attended several courses on the use of supervision in practising homeopathy, and consequently run student clinics and been a supervisor for the college. She also gives supervision to practising homeopaths. She has a busy practice and natural therapy centre in north Staffordshire. Jill joined the college team as Course Director in April 2005.

Rebecca graduated from the Yorkshire School of Homeopathy and the Darlington Post-Graduate School, then completed further postgraduate study at the Dynamis School for Advanced Homeopathic Studies where she undertook research on provings of several medicines. Rebecca has researched the role of repertory study in relation to the principles of 'The Organon of Medicine' and has built up a national reputation as a teacher of integrated Repertory Studies. She also teaches postgraduate groups and practitioner seminars in Scandinavia and Eastern Europe. Rebecca has recently conducted a homeopathic proving of Amethyst.

Ann Saunders, M.C.H. RSHom. began her practice over 20 years ago in North Devon, whence she has now returned. For 15 years she was the senior consultant at the Glasgow Homeopathic Clinic. She has specialist skills in gynaecology and obstetrics and for the last 10 years has had a special interest in the treatment of cancer. Since 1985 she has been a regular lecturer at the North West College of Homeopathy and is now the Director of Clinical Training. In 1994 Ann was awarded an Honorary Fellowship for her services to the College.

Angela has been in practice in Yorkshire for fifteen years and teaching Homeopathy in colleges for the last ten years. In life before homeopathy she was a research biochemist and then taught health studies and biological sciences to adults and children. Angela's main areas of interest in homeopathy are philosophy and clinical practice. Her sessions are therefore interactive with lots of practical cases examples to illustrate how the philosophy works.
