CPD PIC & MIX
NWCH is introducing a new kind of pick and mix for. its CPD lectures this year.
There are three elements
Element 1. Six CPD Sundays with special lectures and guest speakers for 4 hours. You can attend any or all of these. There are good discounts if you sign up to all of the m in advance
Element 2 Reflective group supervision. 2 hours every other month. This is a really great way of experiencing reflective supervision. You are asked to commit to the whole series in order to gain full benefit from it. This will be of especial use to those of you who are producing CPD portfolios for SOH but we can recommend it to anyone who is looking for (more) supervision and thinks that the stimulus of working in a group is what they need and could enjoy . The group facilitator will be Andy Kirk RSHom who has many years experience working as a supervisor for both SOH and the college
Element3. An invitation to sign up for any lecture of any weekend. Again you can get a huge discount by paying a global sum up front which entitles you to drop in when ever you like, or you can book and pay for individual hours. This last element gives you the opportunity to fill in any gaps you have in your knowledge, regardless of what year it is being taught to. It also means you can hear more of certain speakers.
Highlights of this include A whole weekend of Geoff Johnson in January: CPD Sunday is described above but he will also talk about series 3 of the table of elements and compositae, ranunculae and cactae. Similarly you can hear David Mundy in November and March. With bird remedies, Chinese diagnoses, magnesiums and much else: Consider the opportunity to learn about how to use spreadsheets as a research tool from Carolyn Garland, or to explore the importance of Chlamydia as a factor in patients lives and as a remedy with Lynda Kenyon.
Would you like to know more about various aspects of Scholten’s approach to the table of elements, or look at plants, with some guidance from Sankaran, in their family groups. Are you wondering how ‘ the Sankaran method” works in practice and not sure whether you want to explore it in depth or not.? Come and listen to Gurmej Virk give an introduction and then see him take a live case and lead you through his analysis.
All this and more is available for you to ‘pick and mix’ as you wish. Just explore the timetables and see what interest you. If you need more information, send us an email and we will do our best to answer your queries. Price lists are displayed elsewhere in this newsletter. These are advanced booking prices so book now before they go up !
Highlight for September is Lynda Kenyon talking about how Chlamydia manifests as a health problem in our patients and the role of the remedy Chlamydia in treatment. She has worked closely with the Bulgarian homeopath Mario Boyadjiev who has worked with over 100 patients in this field.
There is no CPD in October but you are welcome to come to any of the lectures. You especially might be interested in attending Carolyn’s exploration of the use of spreadsheets as a research tool in deepening out understanding of treating patients with coughs and colds. She will be building on this throughout the year as she explains this work in relation to various other groups of patients.
Highlight for November is to come and learn more about the Circle with David Mundy. If you are new to the subject you can attend also his introductory lecture to the 4th years on Saturday. You can also spend the whole weekend listening to his particular approach to the magnoliae family, the magnesiums or even apis et alia.
Again December is not a CPD month but you might like to come and listen to Jim Rogers exploring the treatment of addiction .Study the timetables and you will find many other gems you might want to investigate.
Looking ahead to the New Year, the very popular homoeopath and homoeopathic vet Geoff Johnson will be with us for the whole weekend in January. His interesting and well illustrated lectures are always a treat . He will be presenting human cases most of the weekend but he will do a live case with a dog on Sunday morning. See the timetable for the full details.
To access the timetables you need to visit the club.If you have never studied or registered with us and therefor don't know the password or if you have forgotten it then phone or email the college.
