I chair the College Board, drawing on my experience in community action and as Director of Bristol Council for Voluntary Service. My job is to create frameworks which allow the real purpose of the College to flow, to encourage, and to manage the business of the formal organisation.
I was lucky to find colleagues in the Board, many more experienced homoeopaths than I am, who share my vision of a well-managed social enterprise college for adults to grow in awareness and wisdom.
I teach Repertory, the homoeopathic tool that links the symptoms to the remedy, and first year Philosophy, when I get excited about Hahnemann, the founder of homoeopathy, and his ideas. My teaching is influenced by educating adults - training community and equal opportunities groups of all descriptions, and people without formal qualifications on a foundation degree.
I like swimming, walking the Lancashire moors where I live, and writing doggerel. Luckily, from my three sisters to my two daughters, I’ve been surrounded by women all my life, so the gender balance in homoeopathy is just like home.
